TL;DR

Pokémon Center Online (pokemoncenter-online.com) is The Pokémon Company’s official Japanese online store. Its terms limit delivery to Japan and membership to people living in Japan, so a US address can’t check out.[1] For regular in-stock items, paste the product link into OneMall LinkBuy and our team buys and ships it for you.

  • No overseas delivery: orders ship only inside Japan, with ¥550 domestic shipping under ¥6,000.
  • Lottery items (抽選販売) need a member account, and recent card lotteries also required phone or My Number Card verification.
  • LinkBuy charges 5% of the item price, min ¥200 / max ¥1,000 per item; lottery, limited, purchase-limited and members-only items can’t be bought.
  • Sold out? Mercari resale listings cost ¥300 per item in service fees.

As of October 2026, the store’s latest Pokémon Card Game lotteries set aside most winning slots for buyers verified with a Japanese My Number Card.[2] Our take: skip lottery drops from the US and focus on the regular catalog, which LinkBuy can reach.

Below: what the Japanese Pokémon Center is, the rules blocking overseas orders, what the shop sells and an eight-step LinkBuy walkthrough.

What is the Japanese Pokemon Center?

Pokémon Center is Japan’s chain of official Pokémon shops. The first opened in Tokyo’s Nihombashi in 1998, and The Pokémon Company says each store has its own concept and sells exclusive original goods tied to its region.[3] The chain also runs casual Pokémon Store shops that sell mostly plush and sweets.

How many are there? The official shop list shows 18 Pokémon Center shops and 5 Pokémon Store branches in Japan, from Sapporo to Okinawa, plus Taipei and Singapore.[4] Online, the chain sells through Pokémon Center Online, which many fans type as “pokemoncenter online” or “Pokemon Center Japan online”; its terms name The Pokémon Company (株式会社ポケモン) as operator.[1]

Don’t confuse it with PokemonCenter.com, the separate website that The Pokémon Company International’s US site calls “our official online shop”.[5]

Does Pokémon Center Online Japan ship internationally?

No. Pokémon Center Online doesn’t ship worldwide: its delivery guide says 海外へのお届けにつきましては、お受けしておりません (“we do not accept delivery overseas”).[6] The terms limit delivery to Japan (Article 19-4) and let only individuals living in Japan apply for membership (Article 15-1).[1] Registration is free but required for every purchase, so you can’t simply sign up from the US.

Payment is built for Japan too: the terms allow only cards in the member’s own name, cash on delivery or convenience-store payment,[1] and the payment guide warns that cards issued outside Japan may not work.

Hyped products add a second wall: some are sold only by lottery (抽選販売), a raffle-style draw. To join the September 2026 round of the Pokémon Card Game 30th anniversary lottery, members chose between a slot for buyers verified on the Players Club site with a My Number Card and a slot for phone-verified members, and most winning slots were reserved for the verified group.[2] Entries were one per person, order rights couldn’t be transferred, and winners’ items shipped only within Japan. Japan’s government Digital Agency says the card is issued by a municipality on a resident’s application,[7] so between that ID requirement and the residents-only membership, US-based fans can’t enter.

Launch days queue too: for the October 8, 2026 release, the site opened a virtual waiting room (仮想待合室) at 9:30, drew lots for entry order, showed an estimated wait time and capped sessions at about 20 minutes.

What can you buy on Pokémon Center Online?

The merch catalog spans plush and toys, games, Pokémon Card Game (TCG) products, stationery, phone accessories, bags and wallets, kids’ goods and apparel. Items made for the chain carry a ポケモンセンターオリジナル (Pokémon Center Original) badge, and prices are shown 税込 (tax included), the figure LinkBuy asks for.

Plush and mascots

Start with plush: the plush and mascots category listed 2,351 items on October 9, 2026. Palm-size Pokémon fit plush names start with the Pokédex number: 133 Pokémon fit イーブイ (Eevee) was ¥1,320 and 146 Pokémon fit ファイヤー (Moltres, 82 g) ¥1,650, both in stock. Squishy もっちり (mocchiri) plush and the ポケモンドールズ (Pokémon Dolls) line sit alongside, several of the Dolls marked 品切れ (sold out).

Pokemon Center Japan clothing

Apparel listed 847 items that day, including 133 T-shirts and tops, 50 outerwear pieces and 41 hats. Examples: the Pokémon Close-Up T-shirt Gengar, sized “Free”, at ¥3,850, and a “Pokémon feat. Hatsune Miku Project VOLTAGE” hoodie at ¥7,700; a Lucario wind jacket was sold out. At Pokémon Center Shibuya, the Pokémon Design Lab lets visitors design their own T-shirts in the store.[3]

Cards, pins and anniversary goods

The Pokémon Card Game section stocks expansion packs, decks and supplies, but the most-wanted boxes go to lottery; for cards, read our Japanese Pokémon cards guide. The Pokémon 30th anniversary feature adds tees, caps, pins and keychains printed with past game-box art, plus a Pokédex-style Moleskine notebook. How do I buy from Pokémon Center Japan online from the USA?

The differences between four channels, then the LinkBuy route step by step.

Where to buy What you can buy there Ships to the US directly? How to buy it with OneMall (steps / fee)
Pokémon Center Online (pokemoncenter-online.com) Plush, apparel, stationery, home goods, card products; some items by lottery only No, Japan only[6] LinkBuy: paste the link and the tax-inclusive price; 5% of the item price, min ¥200 / max ¥1,000 per item; lottery, limited, purchase-limited and members-only items excluded
Pokémon Center and Pokémon Store shops in Japan In-store stock, varying by shop; region-exclusive goods at each Pokémon Center[3] Not stated by the store LinkBuy needs an online product link, so store-only items can’t be submitted; check resale listings
Amazon.co.jp “ポケモンストア” (Pokémon Store), listed as a sales channel in a Pokémon Center Online notice A selection of Pokémon goods; Amazon’s Pokémon brand store also has a ポケモンセンターオリジナル商品 page Not stated by the store Amazon Japan is one of our integrated marketplaces: search and buy on our site, ¥300 per item
OneMall LinkBuy Regular in-stock items from Pokémon Center Online and other Japanese online stores Yes, from our Tokyo warehouse by ECMS or DHL Steps 1–8 below; pay within 24 hours of approval

LinkBuy fee: 5% of the item price, min ¥200 / max ¥1,000 per item — OneMall LinkBuy shopping guide, checked 2026-10-09.

What LinkBuy can’t buy: items that need a lottery entry, have purchase limits, or require Japanese identity verification or a members-only account. On Pokémon Center Online, lottery and limited items are out; regular in-stock items are fine. Many listings show a per-person cap such as お一人様 5点限り (5 per person); our review confirms capped items before you pay.

  1. Step 1: Check the product page. Pick a regular item with a 税込 price and the カートに入れる (add to cart) button. Skip anything marked 品切れ or sold by 抽選, and anything on our prohibited items list, such as aerosols, flammable liquids or magnetic materials.
  2. Step 2: Submit it on LinkBuy. Paste the link on the LinkBuy page and enter the item name, size or color, the tax-inclusive price and notes. Our LinkBuy guide walks through each field.
  3. Step 3: Pay within 24 hours of approval. You get an SMS once it’s approved. The first payment is the item price plus the fee: anything under ¥4,000 pays the ¥200 minimum, anything over ¥20,000 hits the ¥1,000 cap. Miss the window and the order cancels automatically.
  4. Step 4: We place the order. Domestic shipping is whatever the store charges; Pokémon Center Online lists ¥550 for orders under ¥6,000 and free shipping from ¥6,000.[6] You can cancel only before the store accepts the order; out-of-stock items or a store refusal get a full refund, fee included, within three business days.
  5. Step 5: Wait for warehouse arrival. The store usually ships 2–5 days after the order. In-stock items then reach our Tokyo warehouse in 3–5 business days, and fixed-date pre-orders leave the store within 2–3 business days of release (both estimated averages).
  6. Step 6: Store and consolidate. You get 90 days of free storage after arrival (30 days after consolidation), and the first 6 orders consolidate free, ¥100 per additional order.
  7. Step 7: Pay international shipping. The second payment covers international shipping plus the domestic shipping the store charged, by Visa, Mastercard and PayPal, settled in USD. US parcels go by ECMS or DHL; chargeable weight is the larger of actual and volumetric weight (L × W × H in cm ÷ 5000 = kg) on the outer box we use.
  8. Step 8: Budget for US duties. Since August 29, 2025, US-bound parcels of any value go through customs and pay applicable duties, taxes and fees — the $800 de minimis exemption no longer applies.[8] Duties, taxes and clearance fees are paid by the buyer.

Sold out or lottery-only? Try the resale route

For lottery items, sold-out lines and store-only goods, resale is the practical route. Mercari is integrated too, so you buy its listings on our site: ¥300 per item on most marketplaces; from ¥200 per item on Yahoo Auctions and LinkBuy. Search in Japanese, for example ポケモンセンター or ポケモンfit イーブイ.

Resale prices are set by individual sellers, and we can’t vouch for any listing. Read the description and photos, then add unboxing photos (¥500 / ¥700) or the ¥200 wrong/missing item check before it ships.

Conclusion

Pokémon Center Online keeps its checkout closed to overseas addresses, and its lotteries now lean on Japanese ID, so hyped drops will stay out of reach from the US. The regular catalog is different: plush, clothing and stationery with a 税込 price and an add-to-cart button can travel through LinkBuy and ship together. Start a OneMall LinkBuy order with the first link on your list.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the Pokemon Center Japan shop online ship to US addresses?

No. Pokémon Center Online delivers only inside Japan, and only people living in Japan can register as members. US buyers order through a buying service such as LinkBuy instead.

Is pokemoncenter-online.com the Pokemon Center Japan official site?

Yes, it’s legit. The Pokémon Company’s corporate site links to it as “The official online store”, and its terms name The Pokémon Company as operator. The shop is in Japanese; the store list at shop.pokemon.co.jp has an English page.

Can I enter the Pokemon Center Japan lottery from overseas?

Not in practice. Entry needs a member account, which is limited to Japan residents; recent card lotteries also required phone-number or My Number Card verification, and winners’ items ship only within Japan. LinkBuy can’t buy lottery items, so check resale listings after release.

Which Pokemon Center payment methods work in Japan?

Credit cards in the member’s own name, cash on delivery and convenience-store payment; Apple Pay isn’t among them, and cards issued abroad may fail. With LinkBuy you pay us instead, by Visa, Mastercard and PayPal, settled in USD.

Does Pokemon Center Online restock sold-out items?

Sometimes. In July 2026 it announced made-to-order windows for its game-box-art pins, magnets and keychains, plus a resale of package T-shirts. Its restock-request form only records requests, with no promise of a restock or a notice.

Can I trust second-hand Pokemon Center Japan plush on Mercari?

We can’t vouch for any resale listing, so judge each one on its photos, description and seller history. Unboxing photos (¥500 / ¥700) let you check the condition at our Tokyo warehouse before you pay for international shipping.
