Scope: Japanese Mega Gengar ex 240/193 (MEGA Dream ex high-class pack). The English-language print of this illustration has a different collector number and set name and is priced in a separate market, so the figures here do not transfer[5]. Promo copies and full-art variants from other sets are likewise different cards — the number on the PSA label is what to match.
Mega Gengar ex PSA 10 value: is the slab worth 1.89× a raw copy?
A 1.89× multiple, or a ¥27,444 gap, and a PSA 9 at 65%: on the 2026-11-02 listings the PSA 9 is ¥6,999 over the cheapest raw and the cheapest PSA 10 is ¥20,445 over the 9; the dearer ¥40,999 raw sits ¥17,445 below the cheapest slab. A self-submission on the ¥31,000 raw (“No obvious damage or stains”) pays off mainly if it comes back a 10 under PSA’s GEM MT 10 standard[6]; seller photos cannot show centering or surface wear well enough to count on that. The ¥58,444 Yahoo! Flea Market slab is the lowest-priced PSA 10 on this page; with a ¥27,444 gap to the raw, the self-submission bet is larger than it was, but the finished slab is still the more predictable route.
| Route | Cost on 2026-11-02 (JPY, before shipping) | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Buy the cheapest PSA 10 slab | ¥58,444 | Grade already locked in; you pay the full premium, nothing to wait for. |
| Buy the cheapest raw copy as-is | ¥31,000 | Lowest-cost route on this page to own the artwork; condition is whatever the photos show. |
| Buy the cheapest raw copy with Mercari official authentication (OneMall submits the item; Mercari official issues the conclusion; OneMall does not guarantee authenticity) | ¥32,700 | ¥31,000 + ¥1,700 authentication fee[1], only where the seller has enabled it (Mercari listings only); Mercari official issues its conclusion before the card ships (OneMall does not guarantee authenticity), but it is still ungraded. |
On the 2026-11-02 listings, the ¥58,444 Yahoo! Flea Market slab is the lowest-priced PSA 10; add unboxing photos and compare the live ECMS, DHL and Japan Post EMS (DDP) quotes. The ¥37,999 Mercari PSA 9 is the graded alternative at 65% of that price, ¥20,445 less; Mercari official authentication (OneMall submits the item; Mercari official issues the conclusion; OneMall does not guarantee authenticity)[1] adds ¥1,700 (¥39,699) only where the seller has enabled it. The ¥31,000 raw (¥32,700 with authentication, where enabled) is the submission candidate.
How to buy Mega Gengar ex SAR 240/193 from Japan
A slab at this price earns the photo service, a tracked carrier, and a check of the cert number before the second payment. Here is the sequence.
- Step 1 — Search by collector number. On OneMall, searching “240/193 PSA10” in the Mercari tab surfaces slabs the English name never would — most Japanese sellers title the card in katakana.
- Step 2 — Compare against the current floor. On 2026-11-02 the floor was ¥58,444 for a PSA 10 and ¥31,000 raw; treat those as your anchors when a new listing appears.
- Step 3 — Buy it. One click adds the item; the order is placed on Mercari or Yahoo! Flea Market on your behalf and received at the Tokyo warehouse.
- Step 4 — Authentication or inspection. Mercari official authentication (+¥1,700) (OneMall submits the item; Mercari official issues the conclusion; OneMall does not guarantee authenticity) is available on listings that show it[1][2]; OneMall’s optional unboxing photos and wrong/missing-item check let you see the card’s condition before it ships.
- Step 5 — Ship when you are ready. Free storage runs 90 days after arrival (30 days after consolidation) and the first six orders consolidate free, so several cards from different sellers can leave as one parcel — to the US by ECMS, DHL or Japan Post EMS (DDP), whichever the live quote offers.
