One scope note: this page prices the Japanese Mega Dragonite ex 246/193 from MEGA Dream ex high-class pack only. English prints of the same artwork have their own collector number, set name and market, and none of the figures here apply to them[5]. Promos and full-art variants from other sets are separate cards as well — check the number on the PSA label against 246/193 before comparing.
Mega Dragonite ex PSA 10 value: is the slab worth 1.83× a raw copy?
A 1.83× multiple against the ¥17,500 raw, 1.68× against the ¥18,999 one, and a ¥14,500 gap: a moderate premium. No PSA 9 is listed, and the 2026-09-29 sweep also found fifty-eight 10s and not one 9 — either the card grades well or sellers hold their 9s. Either way a self-submission on a raw copy has no published floor for a miss on PSA’s GEM MT 10 standard[6]. The ¥32,000 finished slab is the certain route.
| Route | Cost today (JPY, before shipping) | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Buy the cheapest PSA 10 slab | ¥32,000 | Grade already locked in; you pay the full premium, nothing to wait for. |
| Buy the cheapest raw copy as-is | ¥17,500 | Cheapest way to own the artwork; condition is whatever the photos show. |
| Buy the cheapest raw copy with Mercari official authentication (OneMall submits the item; Mercari official issues the conclusion; OneMall does not guarantee authenticity) | ¥20,699 | The ¥18,999 Mercari raw + ¥1,700 authentication fee[1] (the ¥17,500 and ¥18,000 copies do not offer it); Mercari official issues its conclusion before the card ships (OneMall does not guarantee authenticity), but it is still ungraded. |
Buy the ¥32,000 slab with unboxing photos. For the binder or a submission, the ¥18,999 clean raw with Mercari official authentication (OneMall submits the item; Mercari official issues the conclusion; OneMall does not guarantee authenticity)[1] (¥20,699 all-in), or the ¥17,500 pre-owned copy without it — check its photos first.
Getting a Mega Dragonite ex SAR 246/193 shipped from Japan
A slab at this price earns the photo service. Here is the sequence.
- Step 1 — Open the listing on OneMall. Every tile below links straight to the OneMall item page for that exact copy, so you skip the Japanese-only Mercari app entirely.
- Step 2 — Check the slab label in the photos. Read the collector number on the PSA label before you pay; the same Pokémon often exists at several numbers in the same set.
- Step 3 — Add authentication if the seller offers it. For raw cards on Mercari, tick Mercari official authentication (OneMall submits the item; Mercari official issues the conclusion; OneMall does not guarantee authenticity) at checkout (+¥1,700)[1][2]; Mercari official issues its conclusion before the card leaves Japan.
- Step 4 — Pay the first invoice. Item price plus the service fee (¥300 per item on most marketplaces; from ¥200 per item on Yahoo Auctions and LinkBuy) — international shipping is a separate second payment once the card is weighed at the warehouse.
- Step 5 — Consolidate and ship. Cards sit in free storage for 90 days after arrival (30 days after consolidation), the first six orders consolidate free, and one padded parcel to the US goes out by ECMS, DHL or Japan Post EMS (DDP).
