Next Japanese Pokémon Set: Aura Seeker Release Date

Sgm asset 4a269df89a45c8c63913bfa7fcdb5f485d0155bedd5b94abd88ee9575ff5aebf

As of October 27, 2026, the next Japanese Pokémon set is Aura Seeker, releasing November 27. The Special Deck Set MEGA comes earlier, on November 13, but contains prebuilt decks. If you’re buying from the US, distinguish the product before comparing pre-order listings and shipping costs.

Following new Japanese Pokémon cards gets confusing when your English collecting calendar doesn’t match the Japanese listings. We treat “next expansion” and “next card product” as separate questions, because choosing the earlier date can mean choosing a different kind of purchase. You might want packs to open, decks to play, or a particular revealed card. This guide follows that choice through the product page, the seller’s purchase rules, and the costs of bringing it to the US.

Aura Seeker’s Release Date and the Earlier Deck Set

Aura Seeker is the next announced Japanese expansion, while Special Deck Set MEGA is the earlier deck product. Both dates below describe launches in Japan, rather than shipment or arrival dates for a US purchase.

Product Japan release Product type Contents Japan MSRP
Special Deck Set MEGA November 13, 2026 Prebuilt deck set Three 60-card decks ¥5,500 per set
Aura Seeker November 27, 2026 Expansion pack Five random cards per pack ¥200 per pack

Pokémon Card Game’s linked product pages, read October 27, 2026. Japanese suggested retail prices include tax; seller prices and US delivery costs are separate. Release dates follow those pages; revisit them for schedule changes.

Choose Booster Packs or Ready-to-Play Decks

Choose the expansion if your goal is opening booster packs. Aura Seeker contains randomly inserted cards, so buying a pack means buying an assortment rather than selecting a specific card. A booster-box listing should identify the expansion and the quantity being sold.

Choose the deck set if you want prebuilt decks with listed contents. Special Deck Set MEGA brings together decks featuring Mega Feraligatr ex, Mega Dragonite ex, and Mega Gengar ex. The product page lists the cards in each deck, which lets you judge the contents before buying.

The naming gap is real for individual collectors. One r/PokeInvesting poster wrote, “While I’m familiar with most of the recent English Pokémon TCG sets and releases, the Japanese market and products are still a complete mystery to me.” That comment captures a product-identification problem, not a reason to buy either release.

Our recommendation is to match the format to your purpose before looking at the earliest date. Packs suit an opening session; the deck set suits a purchase built around known deck contents. A seller calling either item a “new Japanese set” has not yet told you enough to choose.

Track New Releases on the Pokémon Card Game Trainers Website

The Pokémon Card Game Trainers Website connects Japanese product announcements, product details, and card previews. Have a browser ready, along with the product name or link; browser translation helps with the Japanese text.

  1. Open the publisher’s homepage and find the dated product announcement.
  2. Follow it to the product page and read the product information.
  3. Open that product’s card-list entry to follow the revealed cards.

This gives you a product page to keep, rather than a date detached from the item it describes.

Start With the Dated Product Announcement

Start at the Pokémon Card Game Trainers Website, where product news appears alongside event and campaign news. Look for the product category and the matching product title. A tournament announcement or promotional campaign is a different kind of update.

The news date tells you when the announcement appeared. It does not tell you when the cards go on sale. The homepage dates the Aura Seeker announcement October 23, 2026, and the deck-set announcement October 16, 2026; the linked product pages carry their later launch dates. Read the headline and product information together.

Keep the product-page address once you have the match. That is useful when a seller uses a translated title, a shortened name, or just the featured Pokémon in a listing. Matching the product image and name gives you a firmer starting point than a seller’s “coming soon” label.

We would use a community post to find a lead, then return to the publisher’s announcement before planning a purchase. A name circulating in a discussion does not give you the contents or sale conditions of the product being offered.

Read the Product Information Before a Store Listing

The product-information block is the place to separate the release from the offer. On the expansion page, read the product name, release date, suggested price, cards per pack, and random-insertion note. On the deck page, read the named decks and the contents supplied with the set.

Browser translation helps with labels such as “product information,” “release date,” “suggested retail price,” and “contents.” Keep those labels attached to their values. A price displayed for a single pack is not a quote for the seller’s box, and a pack count is not the number of cards in a deck.

The page also uses images for card names and promotional headings. Translation of surrounding text does not turn the lettering inside a card image into English. Use the visible product artwork and the written information together when comparing a Japanese listing with an English description.

Our practical rule is to save the exact product link with the listing you are considering. If the seller’s title promises a box but the description specifies loose packs, resolve that difference before paying. The publisher defines the release; the seller defines what that particular listing includes.

Follow the Card-List Link for Newly Revealed Cards

The expansion page’s card-list control opens the gallery for that product. Use it to compare revealed artwork and card numbers with cards shown in a listing. Keeping the product page open also helps you avoid drifting into a different expansion with a similar featured Pokémon.

A preview image is useful for identifying the card you want. Read the card name and number together, especially when a seller’s English wording differs from the Japanese page. If your goal is a particular card rather than an assortment, that identification matters more than the booster-pack artwork.

Keep the deck list separate from the expansion gallery. Cards shown in a prebuilt deck belong to that deck’s contents; their appearance there does not establish that they are in the expansion. Following the matching product page keeps those two shopping decisions separate.

How pre-orders work in Japan

A Japanese pre-order is an offer to buy before release, governed by that retailer’s sale terms. An open listing and a lottery sale work differently: a lottery selects who receives the opportunity to purchase, rather than accepting buyers in arrival order.

The uncertainty shows up plainly in collecting discussions. One r/PokemonTCG poster asked, “Does anyone know where I can preorder either the Japanese or English 30th celebration box? Or when it’s going to be avalible?” A release announcement answers the calendar question; the retailer’s notice answers the access question.

Pokémon Center Online’s September 29 lottery notice illustrates the distinction. It states that the drawing is not first come, first served, limits entry to once per person per drawing, and makes the right to purchase nontransferable. It also describes separate identity-verified and unverified entry groups. Those conditions belong to that drawing, rather than establishing a shared rule for Japanese stores.

OneMall cannot purchase products sold by lottery, subject to purchase limits, or requiring Japanese identity verification or a store-specific account. The alternative is an ordinary eligible listing after release. For a store pre-order with no lottery or purchase limit, contact OneMall support with the listing link before ordering so we can review its other conditions.

We recommend reading the seller’s dispatch terms before committing to a pre-order. “Release date,” “shipping begins,” and “expected stock arrival” describe different events. If the offer gives an estimated shipment window, plan around that window rather than assuming the parcel leaves Japan on launch day.

What Comes in an Aura Seeker Pack or Booster Box?

An Aura Seeker pack contains five randomly inserted cards, with a Japanese suggested retail price of ¥200 including tax. PokeGuardian’s October 23 reveal report describes 30 packs per booster box; that box count is a news report, separate from the pack specification on the publisher’s page.

Read the Five-Card Pack Specification

Five cards describes the contents of one pack. It does not describe a deck, a complete set, or a selection of cards chosen by the buyer. The random-insertion wording matters if your reason for buying is a particular Pokémon or artwork.

Mega Lucario Z ex appears among the featured cards on the expansion page. That identifies a revealed card, rather than a promise that a pack you buy contains it. The product artwork is a way to recognize the release, not a contents list for the individual pack in your parcel.

The Japanese pack MSRP is a reference point for the packaged release. It is not an overseas seller’s asking price or the amount required to get a parcel to the US. Compare offers for the same quantity and condition before judging the price difference.

We would choose packs for the opening experience and a clearly identified single-card listing for a specific card. That keeps the purchase aligned with the outcome you actually want. Buying more packaging does not turn a random assortment into a selected card.

Separate the Reported Box Count From the Seller’s Offer

A Japanese Pokémon booster box listing needs more than the word “box.” Read whether the seller is offering an unopened box, loose packs, an empty display box, or cards already removed from packs. Confirm the language edition and the stated quantity in the description.

PokeGuardian reports the 30-pack configuration for this expansion. Keep that reported configuration separate from the seller’s own offer: a listing could describe a smaller bundle rather than a complete box. The headline, description, and photos should agree on what is included.

Packaging descriptions deserve a close read, too. If the seller distinguishes shrink wrap from other closure methods, keep that distinction in your purchase notes rather than treating the terms as interchangeable. Ask about unclear wording before buying, using the seller’s photos to identify the part you mean.

Our buying advice is to compare like with like. A lower displayed price for loose packs does not answer whether a complete box is better priced, and the single-pack MSRP does not establish the seller’s box price. The useful comparison is the same product, quantity, language, and described condition.

When OneMall Fits a US Purchase of the New Release

OneMall fits when you have found a regular, in-stock product after release and need us to purchase it in Japan and forward it to the US. Our team can buy ordinary eligible listings, including secondhand marketplace listings on Mercari, Yahoo Auctions, and Suruga-ya; LinkBuy lets you submit a link from any Japanese shopping site for eligibility review.

Account for Fees and Checks Before Export

  1. Submit the listing and review the purchase charges. Match the expansion, quantity, language, and condition to your intended purchase. The bill includes the item price and the applicable service fee per item. Japanese domestic shipping follows the seller’s actual charge; we advance that cost and collect it after warehouse arrival with international shipping. Optional services add their own charges. The exact amount is calculated by our system.
  2. Plan the parcel at our Tokyo warehouse. Storage is free for 90 days after arrival, resetting to 30 days after consolidation, meaning combining purchases into a parcel. That gives you room to coordinate arrivals. You can request unboxing photos or wrong/missing-item checks and choose general reinforcement, such as a replacement box with filling or external bubble wrap, to document and prepare the items before export.
  3. Choose international shipping and pay the remaining charges. US options currently include Japan Post EMS (DDP), ECMS, and DHL, with available choices shown at checkout. DDP means duties are prepaid: with EMS (DDP) or ECMS, duties and taxes are calculated with international shipping after warehouse arrival, so nothing is due on delivery. With DHL, DHL contacts you to pay applicable duties after arrival. Budget for international shipping and applicable taxes separately from the item price.

The OneMall team recommends keeping that full cost breakdown beside the listing price. It makes the decision clearer before the item reaches the warehouse. The practical benefit is having purchasing, receipt, and parcel preparation handled in Japan while you choose the eligible item and export options.

We do not authenticate cards; examine the seller’s detailed photos and consider PSA- or BGS-graded cards if you want an independent grading record. Warehouse photos help document visible condition and discrepancies before export.

Frequently Asked Questions About Upcoming Japanese Sets

The remaining questions concern card-list completeness, language editions, shipping terms, and specific purchase expectations. Keep those details attached to the product or seller offering them; a Japan launch date does not settle them by itself.

Is Aura Seeker’s Full Card List Available Yet?

The publisher’s page shows revealed cards and provides a card-list gallery, but a preview is not a complete checklist including secret rares. Use that gallery for the cards already displayed, rather than treating a seller’s preview collage as the full set. We would wait for a complete published checklist before planning a purchase around collecting the entire expansion.

Has an English Release Date Been Announced for Aura Seeker?

The Japanese announcement does not establish an English counterpart’s release date. Follow the English-language product announcement for that date rather than applying the Japanese schedule to a US product. If your goal is English cards, keep the edition in the seller’s description attached to your purchase decision; an English-language listing title does not itself mean the cards are English.

Will a US Preorder Ship on the Japanese Release Date?

Not automatically. A US retailer shipping from its own stock and a Japan-based seller dispatching overseas have different fulfillment arrangements. Read whether the offer gives a dispatch date, an estimated stock-arrival date, or a delivery estimate. If you need the cards for a particular occasion, ask the seller which stage its quoted date describes.

Does an Aura Seeker Booster Box Guarantee a Rare Card?

Do not treat the box description as a promise of a particular rarity or card. The pack specification describes random contents; it does not state a box-level hit guarantee. A collector’s account of an opening is not a packing rule for your box. For a particular card, we recommend a listing that names that card instead of a box bought on an assumed pull guarantee.

Can OneMall Enter a 30th-Anniversary Lottery for Me?

No. OneMall cannot enter the lottery described above. An ordinary resale listing for Japanese 30th-anniversary Pokémon cards is a separate purchase route, subject to the listing’s eligibility. Send that resale link for review rather than a lottery-entry link; a secondhand marketplace offer does not transfer the original applicant’s right to buy from the drawing.

Choose the Right Product Before Ordering

Japanese pokemon product choice matrix

Choose Aura Seeker for expansion packs and Special Deck Set MEGA for the listed prebuilt decks. We recommend keeping the product page beside the seller’s description so the format, quantity, and language match what you intend to receive. For a US purchase, plan around the seller’s dispatch terms and the full import cost, rather than treating Japan’s launch day as a delivery estimate. That leaves you with a purchase tied to the cards you want and a budget that includes the journey.
