How to read the table: prices are what each seller asked for that Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex 125/098 copy on 2026-11-03, and the USD column is the conversion the item page showed at checkout. These are Japanese prints of the Pokémon TCG[5]; the condition column is the seller’s own Mercari / Yahoo! Flea Market condition field, translated, and Suruga-ya’s shop stock carries no condition field. Titles on the listings are Japanese — the tiles below link straight to them. Overseas buyers reach Mercari through partner proxy services[3].
The two PSA 10 slabs in the listings below both ask ¥120,000 on Mercari (checked 2026-11-03). The two PSA 9s tell you to read every listing: one at ¥49,890, one at ¥79,999. Raw copies start at ¥38,000 (seller notes slight damage or stain), with the next at ¥64,999. The cheapest raw sits ¥11,890 below the cheapest PSA 9, but the ¥64,999 raw asks ¥15,109 more than that PSA 9 — a premium for the chance of a 10, not for the card as it sits.

These prices are for the Japanese print of Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex — 125/098 in The Glory of Team Rocket — and nothing else. The English-language version of the same illustration sits under a different set name and collector number and trades in its own market[5]; promo and alternate-set versions are different cards again. Read the number on the slab label first, then compare.
Is Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex PSA 10 worth 3.16× the raw card?
A 3.2× multiple with an ¥82,000 gap is not a grading-cost premium — grading fees are a small share of a card at this price. It is the market’s price for certainty on a chase card whose raw copies are being bought as a bet on the grade. The cheapest PSA 9 at ¥49,890 is about 42% of the cheapest 10, so a self-submission that misses the GEM MT 10 standard[6] turns a ¥38,000 raw into a slab that today’s listings put near ¥49,890 — a long way short of the ¥120,000 a 10 asks. That is the downside buyers of the raws are accepting. If you want the card and not the bet, the ¥120,000 slab is the straightforward purchase; the ¥49,890 PSA 9 suits buyers who want the artwork in a sealed holder and do not need the top grade.
| Route | Cost today (JPY, before shipping) | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Buy the cheapest PSA 10 slab | ¥120,000 | Grade already locked in; you pay the full premium, nothing to wait for. |
| Buy the cheapest raw copy as-is | ¥38,000 | Cheapest way to own the artwork; condition is whatever the photos show. |
| Buy the cheapest raw copy with Mercari official authentication (OneMall submits the item; Mercari official issues the conclusion; OneMall does not guarantee authenticity) | ¥39,700 | ¥38,000 + ¥1,700 authentication fee[1]; Mercari official issues its conclusion before the card ships, but it is still ungraded. |
Buy the ¥120,000 slab with unboxing photos at the warehouse. Buy the ¥49,890 PSA 9 if a sealed copy at well under half the price appeals. Avoid the raws unless you are knowingly gambling on a grade; the ¥38,000 copy carries a slight damage or stain note, and Mercari official authentication (OneMall submits the item; Mercari official issues the conclusion; OneMall does not guarantee authenticity) adds ¥1,700 (¥39,700 all-in) only where the listing shows the option[1].
How to order Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex SAR 125/098 from a Japanese seller
A ¥120,000 slab warrants the photo service and the fast carrier. Here is the sequence.
- Step 1 — Search by collector number. On OneMall, searching “125/098 PSA10” in the Mercari tab surfaces slabs the English name never would — most Japanese sellers title the card in katakana.
- Step 2 — Compare against today’s floor. The floor on 2026-11-03 is ¥120,000 for a PSA 10 and ¥38,000 raw; treat those as your anchors when a new listing appears.
- Step 3 — Buy it. One click adds the item; the order is placed on Mercari on your behalf and received at the Japan warehouse.
- Step 4 — Authentication or inspection. Mercari official authentication (+¥1,700) (OneMall submits the item; Mercari official issues the conclusion; OneMall does not guarantee authenticity) is available on listings that show it[1][2]; the proxy’s own inspection and photo service covers the rest.
- Step 5 — Ship when you are ready. Free storage runs 90 days after arrival (30 days after consolidation), so several cards from different sellers can leave as one consolidated parcel.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much is a PSA 10 Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex SAR 125/098?
The two PSA 10 slabs in the listings below both ask ¥120,000 (US$828.00) on Mercari before shipping, checked 2026-11-03.
Why can a raw copy cost more than a PSA 9?
Because raw buyers are paying for the chance the card grades a 10 (¥120,000 for the cheapest slab). On 2026-11-03 the ¥64,999 raw asks more than the ¥49,890 PSA 9, which has already lost that chance and trades on the artwork alone.
Why do the two PSA 9 listings differ so much?
The ¥79,999 PSA 9 asks ¥30,109 more than the ¥49,890 one for the same grade. Treat the higher ask as a seller’s anchor, not a market price, and compare both against the ¥120,000 PSA 10 floor.
Should I have Mercari official authentication (OneMall submits the item; Mercari official issues the conclusion; OneMall does not guarantee authenticity) added to a raw copy?
On a ¥38,000 card, yes if the listing offers it — ¥1,700 for Mercari official to issue its conclusion before shipping[1]. Check each raw listing for the option.
How many PSA 10 Team Rocket’s Mewtwo ex 125/098 exist?
The authoritative count is PSA’s own Population Report[6], which updates as submissions clear; this page deliberately does not copy a number that will drift. The live-supply proxy on 2026-09-20: 29 PSA 10 slabs in stock across Mercari, Yahoo! Flea Market and Suruga-ya, against 2 PSA 9 and 14 raw copies. A card with far more slabs than raws in stock has been graded heavily.
