TL;DR
Treasure Factory Japan (TreFac) is a listed reuse chain selling one-off secondhand goods online: camping gear, instruments, appliances, furniture and games. It doesn’t ship outside Japan, so US buyers order through OneMall: search in English, pay ¥300 per item plus each listing’s domestic shipping, then pick international shipping.

As of November 2026, TreFac has its own tab on our site, so you don’t need to paste a link. Our take: it’s a store for compact finds, not furniture. A ¥3,850 Switch game and a ¥99,000 washer-dryer sit in the same catalog, and only one makes sense from Ohio.

What Is Treasure Factory Japan?
Treasure Factory Japan is a listed reuse chain, not a marketplace of private sellers; think of a big thrift store run as a public company. Treasure Factory Co., Ltd. was founded on May 25, 1995 and trades on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime Market under code 3093.[1] As of the end of February 2026, it reported 13 business formats and 319 stores in Japan and overseas, plus 15.58 million items sold in a year (non-consolidated).[2] In Japanese it’s トレジャーファクトリー, shortened to トレファク (TreFac).
Those formats include specialists in sports and outdoor gear, furniture and appliances, and musical instruments.[3] The Treasure Factory Japan online store is TreFac ONLINE (ec.treasure-f.com), its official web shop.[4] If you searched for Treasure Factory online, that’s the catalog you want, and it’s the source behind our TreFac tab.
What Can You Buy from TreFac?
General secondhand goods, with real depth in gear. Our TreFac filter lists 14 top-level categories, including Outdoor & Leisure, Hobbies & Toys, Musical Instruments & Equipment, Home Appliances and Furniture & Interiors. None is clothing.
On November 6, 2026, English searches for snow peak, fender, golf and le creuset each returned at least 20 listings. Here are a few we checked that day, priced from the Treasure Factory listing pages.
How Is TreFac Different from Other Secondhand Stores?
TreFac listings are single used items tied to one named store. In a keyword sample of 71 listings read on November 6, 2026, all 71 carried the Second-hand tag, a store name and Only 1 left, and none offered a new/used switch or an Other Stores panel. The company says almost all its items are one-of-a-kind, so it offers no exchanges.[7] Stock is shared with its shops and other sites, so an item can sell out after you order.[5]

What Do Treasure Factory’s S to E Condition Ranks Mean?
S is unused and E is junk; the ranks between tell you how much wear to expect. These company-set definitions are translated from the TreFac ONLINE help page:[5]

The rank is only a start: the Snow Peak cot above is rank B, and its listing adds case stains and scratches on the legs. The store also warns that small marks may go undescribed. Its category notes matter too:[5]
- Cards and collector goods: unless described as 美品 (excellent) or 完品 (complete), they’re sold for play, not collecting.
- Instruments: may need adjustment or maintenance on arrival.
- Outdoor gear: flame output can be unstable; vintage and fuel-burning gear can need parts.
- Digital devices: batteries may be worn, and data is generally wiped.
Does Treasure Factory Japan Ship to the USA?
No. TreFac ONLINE does not deliver outside Japan and cancels orders with an overseas address.[6] It allows forwarding services on two terms: the day an item reaches the forwarder in Japan counts as your receipt date, and it won’t cover return shipping or duties from abroad.[6] Its window for reporting a major unlisted fault is 7 days from delivery, and change-of-mind cancellations are refused,[7] so treat a purchase headed overseas as final.
How Do You Buy from Treasure Factory on OneMall?
Search, read the item page, order, then choose shipping from our warehouse. TreFac works like the other Japanese stores we search directly, with no link to paste.
- Step 1: Open TreFac. Go to our TreFac Japan store page or the TreFac tab in the top navigation. On a phone, if it opens on All Sites, type a keyword and tap TreFac in the row of stores above the results.
- Step 2: Search in English and filter. Brand and product words work. Filters cover Price range, Category, Condition, Shop, Sale, Include sold items and Free domestic shipping.
- Step 3: Read the item page. Tags show Second-hand, In stock, the rank and the store name in Japanese, plus SALE or Free domestic shipping when they apply. Titles are machine-translated and pages may not show every image, so open the source link for all photos and any measurements.
- Step 4: Order and pay. Sign in, use Buy It Now or Add to Cart, and pay by Visa, Mastercard or PayPal. Our TreFac shopping guide says orders generally ship within 2–3 business days of being placed (an estimated average), as the store’s own delivery page does.[6] That covers the store-to-warehouse leg inside Japan, not international shipping; contact support if nothing has shipped after 3.
- Step 5: Ship it. The item waits at our Tokyo warehouse: 90 days of free storage after arrival (30 days after consolidation), and the first 6 orders consolidate free, ¥100 per additional order (Trust & Safety page, checked November 6, 2026). Then choose a method and pay international shipping.
What Will a Treasure Factory Order Cost?
The service fee is the fixed part; domestic shipping is what moves. Our shopping guide sets the fee at ¥300 per item (as of 2026), and all 71 sampled listings showed it. Our Treasure Factory announcement page, checked November 6, 2026, says domestic shipping is charged per item; our guide adds that it varies with the store, size and weight:

Item prices come from Treasure Factory’s listing pages; fees and domestic shipping from our item pages, read November 6, 2026 (Beijing time). Across the 71 listings, domestic shipping ran from free to ¥7,740, with a median of ¥1,150. Free domestic shipping covers only the leg inside Japan.
To see a whole order, we ran the TOMIX set through our shipping calculator for ZIP code 10001. Its outer box is listed at about 32 × 24 × 12 cm; the 2 kg weight is our assumption, so this is a scenario, not a real order:

These are estimates at default rates, without optional services; packaging and volumetric weight can change the final amount.
Long items change the math. That Yamaha is listed at about 97 cm long, so we tested a 110 × 45 × 15 cm carton at an assumed 5 kg. ECMS came back over the size limit, and DHL’s international leg was ¥34,921, more than the ¥24,200 guitar. The calculator also quoted Japan Post EMS (DDP) at ¥15,100, but it sees only size and weight, and our shipping-method page names musical instruments among the items DHL can carry when other methods can’t. Confirm with support before counting on the lower number.
Which Shipping Methods Work for a US Address?
For US addresses, pick ECMS, DHL or Japan Post EMS (DDP), and let the parcel decide. Limits come from our shipping-method page and shipping FAQ; we also tested them in the calculator on November 6, 2026:

Volumetric weight is L × W × H in cm ÷ 5,000. ECMS can’t carry alcohol, food or products with built-in lithium batteries, which rules out many laptops and cameras. DHL can’t carry vehicles or vehicle parts, weapons including toy guns, or radio transmitters.
Since August 29, 2025, US-bound parcels of any value go through customs and pay applicable duties, taxes and fees — the $800 de minimis exemption no longer applies.[8] Prepaid duty in our calculator is our own checkout estimate, not an amount set by US customs.
Items from different sellers and sites can be combined into one international parcel, but our FAQ advises against consolidating fragile pottery, ceramics or glass.
What Can’t You Buy or Ship from Treasure Factory?
Hazardous goods, gas lanterns, alcohol and unconfirmed oversized items are the dead ends, and a completed purchase is final:
- Hazardous goods: our prohibited-items list covers aerosols and other gases (our FAQ names stove gas canisters), flammable liquids such as oils, lighter fluid and paint, matches and charcoal, wet batteries, magnetic materials and engines.
- Gas lanterns and alcohol: on November 6, four gasoline lanterns and a bottle of brandy showed Sold out on our item pages while their Treasure Factory listings still showed an add-to-cart button. Our list says items we can’t handle are blocked from purchase, so don’t plan around them. The store also ships Japanese-made alcohol only within the listing store’s prefecture.[6]
- Oversized goods: item pages show domestic shipping only, and we did not confirm an international route for washers, large furniture or roof tents. At about 41.5 kg, that tent exceeds the ECMS and Japan Post EMS (DDP) limit.
- Change of mind: orders can’t be canceled once purchasing is complete. Our purchase notice says second-hand items are generally non-returnable, with no refund once an item reaches our warehouse. If the store cancels, the order is refunded, typically in 5–10 business days.
- Inspection: we do not authenticate items or guarantee their quality. For evidence before international shipping, add package-opening photos at ¥500 (Basic) or ¥700 (Advanced). In our sample, listings above ¥20,000 carried a free photo tag.
Conclusion: Is Treasure Factory Japan Worth It from the USA?
Yes, for the right parcel. TreFac shines when an item fits a normal carton and is hard to find at home: effect pedals, cookware, model trains, older games. Run anything long or heavy through the calculator first, because shipping can outrun the item. Start on our TreFac store page on OneMall and search for something you can picture in a box.

Does Treasure Factory ship to the USA?
No. TreFac ONLINE does not deliver outside Japan.[6] Through OneMall, we buy the item, receive it at our Tokyo warehouse and send it on by ECMS, DHL or Japan Post EMS (DDP).
Is there a Treasure Factory Japan English website?
The company’s investor pages have an English version,[2] but the TreFac ONLINE store and help pages we checked are in Japanese. Our TreFac pages are the practical English route, with English search and machine-translated titles.
What is Treasure Factory’s return policy?
TreFac ONLINE takes reports of major unlisted faults within 7 days of delivery and refuses change-of-mind returns.[7] Through us, treat an order as final: it can’t be canceled once purchasing is complete, and there is no refund once it reaches our warehouse.
Can you ship furniture or a washing machine from Treasure Factory?
