Chiikawanomori Ike

“Chiikawa” (ちいかわ), the comic series created by mangaka Nagano, began in 2014 with the character “Jijikara Kuma” (the self-deprecating bear) and quickly gained popularity. In 2020, Nagano started publishing the “Chiikawa” series on Twitter, and in 2022, the anime was produced by Animax. There are also commemorative products specially designed for this store, as well as exclusive gifts with purchase, shopping bags, and commemorative stamps to mark the store’s opening.

The Magical Chiikawa Store opened on March 14, 2024, in the Marui shopping center in Shinjuku. This special store offers merchandise inspired by the “Magical Girl Chiikawa” series, featuring unique items based on this theme. When new products are released, it is necessary to pull a ticket to enter the store. Since April 26, customers who spend over ¥2,200 will receive a Chiikawa holographic card, with a total of 10 different designs. The duration of this promotion is yet to be determined.
