Prices were read from each Mega Absol ex item page on 2026-09-20 — the seller’s listed price, with USD as the checkout conversion shown on the same page. Every row is a Japanese-language print of the Pokémon TCG[5]; the condition column is the seller’s Mercari / Yahoo! Flea Market condition field, translated, while Suruga-ya’s shop stock has no condition field. Seller titles are Japanese, and the tiles further down open each listing directly. Mercari permits purchases from overseas through partner proxy services[3].
Yahoo! Flea Market has the ¥8,000 floor and a ¥9,000 copy; Mercari has ¥8,400, ¥9,555 and ¥9,600, all with authentication available. Six slabs in total — thin. The single PSA 9 at ¥8,990 is a Mercari listing priced above the cheapest 10, which happens on thin markets when a seller anchors to an old price. Raw copies are ¥1,555 and ¥1,699, both clean, the second with authentication, and ¥2,680 for Suruga-ya’s shop stock. Sixteen raws in stock.

All of the above is the Japanese-language Mega Absol ex — number 089/063 in Mega Brave. The English-language print of the same illustration carries a different collector number and set name, trades in a separate market, and is not covered by these prices[5]. Promo versions and full-art variants from other sets are different cards again: match the number on the slab label before you compare a price.
PSA 10 vs raw Mega Absol ex: what a 5.14× premium buys
A 5.1× multiple, or a ¥6,445 gap, on a ¥1,555 card is a grading premium, full stop. With six 10s in stock and a 9 priced above them, there is no honest reference for what a 9 is worth — the ¥8,990 ask is not it. A self-submission on a ¥1,699 clean raw with authentication is a small bet: the card is cheap, the 10 pays ¥8,000, and a miss under PSA’s GEM MT 10 standard[6] costs you a grading fee on a ¥1,699 card. The ¥8,000 finished slab is also cheap enough to just buy.
| Route | Cost today (JPY, before shipping) | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Buy the cheapest PSA 10 slab | ¥8,000 | Grade already locked in; you pay the full premium, nothing to wait for. |
| Buy the cheapest raw copy as-is | ¥1,555 | Cheapest way to own the artwork; condition is whatever the photos show. |
| Buy a raw copy that offers Mercari official authentication (OneMall submits the item; Mercari official issues the conclusion; OneMall does not guarantee authenticity) | raw price + ¥1,700 | Authentication[1] is seller-enabled; the cheapest raw listing today does not offer it, so compare the next ones in the table above. |
Buy the ¥8,000 slab for gem mint, or the ¥8,400 copy for the authentication option. Buy the ¥1,699 clean raw with Mercari official authentication (OneMall submits the item; Mercari official issues the conclusion; OneMall does not guarantee authenticity)[1] (¥3,399 all-in) for the binder or a submission. Skip the ¥8,990 PSA 9.
Getting a Mega Absol ex SAR 089/063 shipped from Japan
A Yahoo! Flea Market slab is bought through a proxy exactly like a Mercari listing. The steps:
- Step 1 — Read the seller’s title and photos. Japanese titles carry the grade (PSA10), the number (089/063) and often the set code; the photos show the cert number on the label.
- Step 2 — Add to cart on OneMall. No Japanese phone number or address needed — the proxy is the buyer of record on Mercari, and Mercari’s own help pages describe this partner-purchase route[3].
- Step 3 — Choose extras. Mercari official authentication (+¥1,700) (OneMall submits the item; Mercari official issues the conclusion; OneMall does not guarantee authenticity)[1][2] on eligible raw cards, or OneMall’s unboxing photos for a slab.
- Step 4 — First payment. Item price plus a service fee that ¥300 per item on most marketplaces; from ¥200 per item on Yahoo Auctions and LinkBuy.
- Step 5 — Second payment and delivery. Once the card is in the warehouse you pick the carrier — ECMS or DHL to the US — and can hold it up to 90 days (30 days after consolidation) to combine with other finds.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much is a PSA 10 Mega Absol ex SAR 089/063?
In-stock Japanese listings on 2026-09-29 price it at ¥8,000 to ¥9,600 (about US$55–66 before shipping); only six PSA 10 slabs were in stock.
Why is the PSA 9 more expensive than a PSA 10?
One seller has listed the only PSA 9 at ¥8,990, above the ¥8,000 PSA 10 floor. It is mispriced; ignore it.
Is it worth grading a raw Mega Absol ex myself?
A cheap bet: a ¥1,699 clean raw becomes an ¥8,000 card as a 10, and a miss costs little.
Which set is Mega Absol ex SAR from?
Mega Brave (M1L, メガブレイブ), one of the two launch expansions of the MEGA series; 089/063 is its special-art-rare number above the 63-card base.
What is the PSA 10 population for Mega Absol ex 089/063?
This page does not quote a population count. PSA publishes the census in its Population Report[6], and the number moves with every submission batch, so a figure copied here would be stale within weeks. What the market shows instead is live supply: 6 PSA 10 slabs, 1 PSA 9 slabs and 16 raw copies of Mega Absol ex 089/063 in stock on 2026-09-29 — the ratio of slabs to raws is the practical read on how heavily the card has been graded.
